New Zealand offers a large selection of places to stay overnight. These include Holiday Parks, DOC Campsites, and Designated Camping Sites with Toilet.

When picking up your vehicle, we will provide you free maps and guide books listing holiday parks and DOC campsites throughout New Zealand.

DOC Campsites (Department of Conservation):

DOC Campsites are owned and managed by the NZ Government. Prices vary from Free to $14 per adult, per night. DOC manages over 250 camping areas on conservation land throughout New Zealand for you to enjoy. Choose from lush forest, lake shores, to sandy or pebbled beach settings.

Designated Camping Sites with a toilet:

There are a range of camping sites around New Zealand which are managed by the local district council. These vary from region to region, and you can ask about these at the local Information Centre.
