Thrifty campers contain a day sofa which pulls out to a double bed or two single beds. The weatherproof awning with ground sheet fits over the back door and can be attached to the ground. The awning offers standing room, easy access to the campervan and privacy for changing clothes. You can sleep with the rear door open and awning attached, or with all doors closed. A mosquito net slips over the passenger window allowing a fresh breeze at night.

Kitchen facilities comprise of a double gas cooker next to a storage cabinet and fold down table. Operate the stove whilst standing within the weatherproof awning or relaxing on the day sofa. A kitchen set consists of cooking and eating utensils, water container and wash basin.

Special Opiton (new) - Split Hire (multiple hire):
Hire one vehicle in the North Island with pickup and return to Auckland. Next, make your own way to Christchurch and hire another vehicle to see the South Island (or vice versa). We calculate the price as a single hire and you only pay for the days you use. You also only pay once for any optional extras such as the zero insurance waiver or table and chair hire. You still receive long term hire discounts, save on the ferry crossing, and there is no one way fee. The minimum hire period for each island is seven days. Click here if you would like a split hire.

Standard Insurance (included):
If you have an accident, you are required to pay a maximum of $1,000. You do not have to pay if it was not your fault.

Zero Excess (optional): $15 per day or maximum of $280 per hire
If you have an accident, you do not have to pay anything. This also covers tyre punctures.

 

 

New Zealand holiday parks located throughout the country enable you to connect the camper vans power cable, hanging light and multi plug. Plug-in optional extras such as the fridge, dvd player or personal electrical devices.
